Growing up in a home where music was always playing, Ellis discovered a love for performance at an early age. What began in the dance studio quickly grew into a passion for musical theatre, where she found the perfect intersection of movement, music, and storytelling. She was drawn to the challenge of creating honest, emotionally grounded performances while embracing the discipline and collaboration that live theatre demands.
Throughout her artistic journey, Ellis has sought opportunities that continually push her to grow as both a performer and a collaborator. She believes the most impactful performances are rooted in authenticity and that the strongest productions are built through trust, generosity, and a shared commitment to storytelling. Whether on stage, in front of the camera, or in the rehearsal room, she approaches every project with curiosity, professionalism, and a desire to create meaningful work.
One of the most rewarding aspects of her career has been serving as dance captain in multiple productions. The role strengthened her leadership skills and deepened her appreciation for the collaborative process, allowing her to support fellow performers while helping bring a creative team's vision to life. Those experiences continue to shape the way she works today, emphasizing communication, preparation, and the importance of fostering a positive creative environment.
Alongside performing, Ellis is passionate about mentoring young artists. Teaching has become an extension of her own creative practice, reinforcing the values of discipline, confidence, resilience, and joy that have guided her throughout her career. She finds immense fulfillment in helping students discover their own voices and build a lasting love for the performing arts.
Now based in New York City, Ellis continues to work across theatre, film, television, commercial, and fashion. She is committed to lifelong artistic growth and is inspired by projects that challenge her creatively, celebrate collaboration, and tell stories that resonate long after the curtain falls.

Beyond the Stage
What makes her approach to performance unique is the way her life experiences naturally bleed into her work. Through a multitude of self-proclaimed “side quests,” extensive travel, and a willingness to constantly step into unfamiliar spaces, she has developed a deeply personal and emotionally grounded perspective that informs every role she takes on. She often draws from real experiences, relationships, and moments of vulnerability to create performances that feel authentic, lived-in, and human.
After high school, she took a gap year traveling alone throughout Europe, immersing herself in unfamiliar cultures and environments. Along the way, she connected with people from all walks of life, gaining a deeper understanding of human behavior, communication, and emotional connection. That period of independence and exploration shaped not only her worldview but also the way she approaches storytelling and character work. Upon returning to the United States, she continued pursuing experiences outside the traditional artistic path by earning her pilot’s license, a reflection of her adventurous spirit, discipline, and desire to challenge herself in unfamiliar territory.
These experiences give her work a distinct sense of emotional honesty and curiosity. What sets her apart is her ability to blend artistic sensitivity with real-world experience, bringing a richness and individuality to her performances that feels both grounded and compelling.
